Sunday Afternoon Walk

We are always looking for something, not sure of what that something is. This Sunday afternoon, I figured on what I was looking for: a neighborhood to feel comfortable in.
We walked through the Yongsan outskirts, Anthony and I. Here I had to look for human life. Unlike Suwon, there was so little life, but instead traces of it: run down cars, unused bicycles, unattended fruit stands.
Strange, in the distance stood so many concrete buildings. Here one would imagine anything, but life, but what struck my mind mostly is that in the short time that I've been here, tall concrete buildings have come to symbolize life.
Korea brings about strange ephonies that often spell dicotomy. On this Sunday afternoon walk we found little else, but abandoned objects that people had gone on from (that and a spooky 7 eleven that we bought a sandwich in). Though a realization was had in my mind: there is necessity of green life in everyday life.
