That Feeling
It snowed tonight! It was a bit slushy this afternoon, but the real fluffy flakes came down after school. Anthony and I stood in line in the snow waiting to buy some flowers for our new place, but then after about ten minutes of waiting we decided the buy the flowers tomorrow, and we went to eat soup to warm our noses.
It's finally starting to feel like the holiday season. It's strange being so far from home at this time of year, but the snowfall made me feel a little bit closer to the 'burg.
When we went Christmas shopping this past weekend we fell upon some grande holiday decor; I've found Koreans can be just as kitschy as Americans.
Though, this was certainly a different sight for me. Just past the holiday store was a butcher shop. When I stopped to take a picture of these little piggies' faces, three Korean woman laughed in wonder at what I was doing, then they all said in unison, " ohhh deugi" (meaning pig).
I had my own laugh at this sign in front of the Converse store, the golden no is a little hard to see, but in any case the store wants everyone to have a "Merry Christmas. No Forget happy Christmas." Classic. I imagine this Christmas will be as foriegn as the sign, but it should be good, we will spend it with close friends, drink wine, and have four days off of work.
